If You Want Me To Stay - Sly And The Family Stone

This song has only one bassline which continues over and over again, with
subtle differences and embellishments.

This ENTIRE thing is slapped, but it sounds just as good played normal.

Bassist: Sly Stone.

This is in the wrong key, and it appears you have been listening to the Red Hot Chili Peppers wersion as it is in the
Key used in that version, not the Fresh! version. Just play everyting a semitone above, e.g 6 instead of the 5 written
here. Also, the bassist is not Sly Stone, its Rusty Allen.

the last 2 notes are 9-8 not 10-9
but its basically perfect otherwise, for the chilis version

I thought the Sly and the Family Stone bassist was Larry Graham. And I think it is a half-step up from what you have written, playing with the song.
