AIN'T YOUR FAIRYTALE- Sonata Arctica
Standard Tuning, Capo 1

G Bm E Bm G
The ones who seek justice, will pray for it all their lives
     Bm A E G
They can and they will skin us all one day, oh can you hear them cries?
   Bm A D G
As far as the man can run from us we're following the trail of blood
   Bm E F#
So hunt my young ones..

Bm D A
I have always known the storm would come, Listen now my young ones
Bm D A
This not a story I tell of midnight, moon and sun

G A D
Are you ready to walk the forbidden road
            E G
Learn again what we tried to forget
             A Bm
The dark can now take over you

                                                       D A
We have a common past, an ancient bond the people once broke
Bm D A
We would only take what we need; They would harvest our weak

G A D
But they hunted us all; We ended the last of them
          E G
Thus far, ten lifetimes ago
            A F#
In hopes of healing the sore ..But the war still went on

                G A
Preying for the moon, hiding for the day
               D D/C# Bm A G
These might be our..... last times..
              A F#
I ain't gonna see you taken away
                G A
Heading for the dawn of our way of life
                  D D/C# Bm A G
You're welcome to give it your best try
               A F# Bm A Bm
Look me in the eyes, oh wolver, this ain't your fairy tale..

Bm D A
It took us many years to teach them.. How to cry wolf
Bm
We made the people serve the purpose
               D A
Those ignorant fools (My young ones!)

G A D
Teach the ones below you something you've learned
                   E G
And learn from the ones above you
             A F#
Fear is your deepest wisdom ..For these last days

                G A
Preying for the moon, hiding for the day
               D D/C# Bm A G
These might be our..... last times..

     Bm A E G

Death does not exist for us

G A D

UPDATE (yes, so soon...) I changed it to having the capo on the 1st fret rather than the 3rd fret... bc the F chord sounded so much better as an E with capo1 than a D with capo3

Where you have D/C# (or Dmaj7 later on), I think the actual chord (or at least what sounds a lot better to me) is A major. Other than that, love these chords!

That's up for interpretation and you're totally free to use an A! I just focused on the bass note traveling down :)
