C/G
I flew United Airlines on my way to Nebraska
                                                         F
The plane departed, Halifax, connecting in Chicago's "O'Hare".
       G
While on the ground, a passenger said from the seat behind me,
                                        C/G
"My God, they're throwing guitars out there"

The band and I exchanged a look, best described as terror
At the action on the tarmat, and knowing whose projectiles these would be
So before I left Chicago, I alerted three employees
Who showed complete indifference towards me

F
United...

(United...
                     C/G
You broke my Taylor Guitar
F
United...

(United...)
                  C/G
Some big help you are

                          G
You broke it, you should fix it
                      F
You're liable, just admit it
                        G
I should've flown with someone else
     F C/G G
Or gone by car
        F F/E C
'Cause United breaks guitars.

When we landed in Nebraska, I confirmed what I'd suspected
My Taylor'd been the victim of a vicious act of malice at O'Hare

So began a year long sagan, of "pass the buck", "don't ask me", and "I'm sorry,
sir, your claim can go no where".
So to all the airlines people, from New York to New Deli
Including kind Ms. Irlweg, who says the final word from them is "no".

G
I heard all your excuses,

And I've chased your wild gooses
                                      C/G
And I say this attitude of yours must go

United...
(United...)
You broke my Taylor Guitar
United...
(United...)
Some big help you are

You broke it, you should fix it
You're liable, just admit it
I should've flown with someone else
Or gone by car

'Cause United breaks guitars.

F
Well, I won't say that I'll never fly with you again,

'Cause, maybe, to save the world, I probably would,

But that won't likely happen,

 F G
And if it did, I wouldn't bring my luggage
                           F
'Cause you'd just go and break it,
                  G
Into a thousand pieces,
                         F
Just like you broke my heart
       G C/G
When United breaks guitars
.

United...
(United...)
You broke my Taylor Guitar
United...
(United...)
Some big help you are

You broke it, you should fix it
You're liable, just admit it
I should've flown with someone else
Or gone by car

'Cause United breaks guitars.

Yeah, United breaks guitars.

Yeah, United breaks guitars.

I think the capo position is supposed to be second fret, not first. I just double checked it on the video, and Dave has the capo on the second fret throughout the song. Everything else is perfect in my opinion.

good job. I agree with Robnoxious though, the capo is definitely at the 2nd fret.

a buddy of mine took his Ibanez hollowbody artcore with Westjet from Vancouver to Toronto. A strut in his guitar was busted, probably because they people putting away the luggage handled his guitar case badly. I can relate to this song. Never take anything fragile with you. I will learn this tune and play it for him... kudos to MegaManliness for putting the chords up.
