That E7 - on other tabs I've seen as E9. But I have a feeling it may the Kid Charlemagne chord: E7add#9 . Otherwise great work, Steely Dan are always a challenge!

On this track that E7 is one of those 'vamping on a few bars' type of chords where a few band members are poking all kinds of notes here and there ( 9ths, #9ths ), but it really doesn't remain on anything more than on an 7th and its overall tonality doesn't really go beyond a 7th..
