[Verse]

     Em
Get your motor runnin'

Head out on the highway

Lookin' for adventure

In whatever comes our way

[Chorus]

 G A E
Yeah, darlin' gonna make it happen
 G A E
Take the world in a love embrace
 G A E G A E
Fire all of the guns at once and explode into space

[Verse]

  Em
I like smoke and lightnin'

Heavy metal thunder

Wrestlin' with the wind

And the feelin' that I'm under

Yeah, darlin' gonna make it happen

Like a true nature's child

We could climb so high, I never wanna die
 E D Db D

 E D Db D
Born to be wild,

Nah, it sounds better if you play it with no Em at all, and just play E major during the verse.

It's E major throughout and you gotta do E6 and E7 (i guess that's what they're called) to get closer to the original song.
Just put your pinky on the 2nd (E6) and on the 3rd (E7) fret on the B string. Works fine for me.

And:

E D E D
Born to be wild,
E D E D
Born to be wild,

The 2nd E and D doesn't sound right to me. E - D - A - D sounds better to me.
