I noticed there weren't any tabs for possibly one of the greatest songs ever made. This
a very easy way to play this song, and will definitely keep the good times going after
get back from a Cubs win.

Tuning: Standard

Capo 5

G
Baseball season is underway

C
Well you'd better get ready for a brand new day

D
Hey Chicago, what do you say?

G
The Cubs are gonna win today

They're singing

G
Go Cubs Go!

D G
Go Cubs Go!

G C
Hey Chicago, what do you say?

G D G
The Cubs are gonna win today

Go Cubs Go!
Go Cubs Go!
Hey Chicago, what do you say?
The Cubs are gonna win today

They've got the power
They've got the speed
To be the best in the National League
Well this is the year
And the Cubs are real
So come on down to Wrigley Field

We're singing
Go Cubs Go!
Go Cubs Go!
Hey Chicago, what do you say?
The Cubs are gonna win today

Go Cubs Go!
Go Cubs Go!
Hey Chicago, what do you say?
The Cubs are gonna win today

Baseball time is here again
You can catch it all on WGN
So stamp your feet and clap your hands
Chicago Cubs have got the greatest fans

Keep on singing
Go Cubs Go!
Go Cubs Go!
Hey Chicago, what do you say?
The Cubs are gonna win today

Just follow the G C D G pattern for the verses and the Go Cubs Go pattern for the rest.

Looking good, sounds like it. I'm a big Cubs fan so this is fun to play. You wouldn't happen to know the tab for "A Dying Cub fan's last request" would you? It's by Steve Goodman also and on the B side of this 45 the song originally cam out on.

If the Cubs win the World Series this year, this will qualify as "possibly one of the greatest song of all time." However, if they don't, it'll just go down in history as yet another fiasco. We could call it, Go BillyGoat Go.
