Wildwood ~ Steve Gunn
from the album "Way Out Weather"
transcribed by Tim Herold

TUNING: gADGBE (from standard, tune the low E up to G)
CAPO II

The main riff consists of two parts:

Part A:
E|---------------------------------------------------------------|
B|-------------------------3-------5b6--------r5---3h5p3---------|
G|-0-------2-------4-------------------------------------------4-|
D|---------0---------------0---------------0---------------0-----|
A|---------------------------------------------------------------|
g|-0---------------0---------------0---------------0-------------|

E|-----------------------------------------------|
B|-----------------------------------------------|
G|---------2-------0-----------------------------|
D|---------0-------------------------------0-----|
A|-----------------------------------------------|
g|-0---------------0-------2-------4-------------|

and Part B:
E|-----------------------------------------3h5p3-----------3h5---|
B|-------------------------3-------5-------------------5---------|
G|-0-------2-------4---------------------------------------------|
D|---------0---------------0---------------0---------------0-----|
A|---------------------------------------------------------------|
g|-0---------------0---------------0---------------0-------------|

E|-7---------------7-------7---------------7-----------7---------|
B|---------------------------------------------------------------|
G|---------------------------------------------------------------|
D|---------0---------------0---------------0---------------0-----|
A|---------------------------------------------------------------|
g|-0---------------0---------------0---------------0-------------|

The main riff is based out of a G chord, and is played in some capacity over almost every occurrence
of G in the chords below. The extent to which the main riff is played will be specified in brackets
next to the chord (e.g.: G [Part A]).

A variation on Part A (Part A var.) is played before and during the chorus. It (roughly) goes as follows:
E|---------------------------------------------------------------|
B|-------------------------3-------5b6--------r5---3h5p3---------|
G|-0-------2-------4-------------------------------------------4-|
D|---------0---------------0---------------0---------------0-----|
A|---------------------------------------------------------------|
g|-0---------------0---------------0---------------0-------------|

E|---------------------------------------------------------------|
B|---------------------------------------------------------------|
G|---------2-------0---------------------------------------------|
D|---------0---------------0---------------2-------4-------0-----|
A|---------------------------------5-----------------------------|
g|-0---------------0---------------------------------------------|

Other chords can be picked/strummed in roughly this fashion:
   Am C
E|---------0-----------0-------------------0-----------0---------|
B|---------1-----------1-------------------1-----------1---------|
G|---------2-------------------------------0---------------------|
D|---------2---------------2---------------2---------------2-----|
A|-0---------------0---------------3---------------3-------------|
g|---------------------------------------------------------------|
