The intro is obviously legato slides not shift, im sure steve plays a guitar, not a jazz organ..... and wheres the rest of the song?? Other than that you did o.k

Dude, before you make a tab for a skilled guitarist such as Steve Vai learn a bit about writing tabs. To start with, Matt was right, Vai doesn't use shifts but he does not use legato slides, he uses grace notes, like in almost all of his songs. Second, Vai uses the modes, you know? Aeolian, Lydian, Mixolydian, Dorian, Phrygian, Locrian, Ionian, etc. Thats how he is able to play so fast, because he plays all these riffs within one general area. Modes are something you should defenitely learn man. Probably one of the most important things you need to become at least a good guitar player (my opinion).
