[Verse 1]

Em A Bm
I don't drink coffee I take tea my dear
Em A Bm
I like my toast done on the side
Em A Bm
And you can hear it in my accent when I talk
       Em A Bm
I'm an Englishman in New York

Em A Bm
See me walking down Fifth Avenue
Em A Bm
A walking cane here at my side
Em A Bm
I take it everywhere I walk
Em A Bm
I'm an Englishman in New York

[Chorus]

Em A Bm
I'm an alien I'm a legal alien
        Em A Bm
I'm an Englishman in New York
Em A Bm
I'm an alien I'm a legal alien
        Em Bm
I'm an Englishman in New York

[Verse 2]

Em A Bm
If, "Manners maketh man" as someone said
Em A Bm
Then he's the hero of the day
Em A Bm
It takes a man to suffer ignorance and smile
       Em A Bm
Be yourself no matter what they say

[Chorus]

Em A Bm
I'm an alien I'm a legal alien
        Em A Bm
I'm an Englishman in New York
Em A Bm
I'm an alien I'm a legal alien

You could end up as the only one

Confront your enemies, avoid them when you can

chords in the outdo section are wrong. Change the F for F# and the second G for F#/Bb, that would make it better. Also lacking the step down at the end of every verse from Bm-A-Em.

The F# chords sounds better than G at the beginning the second part of the bridge:
F#
at Night a candle's...
