[Verse]
   Am Am7/G FM7
In Europe and America
          Dm E/G# E
there's a growing feeling of histeria.
   Am Am/G FM7
Conditioned to respond to all the threats
           Dm E/G# E
in the rhetorical speeches of the Soviets.
    C E/G# E
Mr. Krushchev said we will bury you,
  Am E/G# E
I don't subscribe to this point of view.
            Am Am/G FM7
It would be such an ignorant thing to do
       Dm E7 Am
if the Russians love their children too.

[Verse]
    Am G FM7 Em
How can I save my little boy
     Am G FM7 Em
from Oppenheimer's deadly toy.
      Am G FM7 Em
There is no monopoly of common sense
   Am G FM7 Em
on either side of the political fence.
   Am G FM7 Em
We share the same biology,
  Am G FM7 Em
regardless of ideology.
  Am G FM7 Em
Believe me when I say to you,
  Am G FM7 Em Am
I hope the Russians love their children too.

[Verse]
There is no historical precedent,
to put the words in the mouth of the president.
There's no such thing as a winnable war,
it's a lie we don't believe anymore
Mr. Reagan says we will protect you
I don't subscribe to this point of view.
Believe me when I say to you
I hope the Russian love their children too.

[Outro]
We share the same biology, regardless of ideology.
What might save us me and you,
is that the Russians love their children too.

this keeps on changing from the minor to the relative major without any legitimate modulation, therefore it doesnt sound at all right to be played, the chords fit with the lyrics if you play them one at a time but as a continuous piece of music this doesnt work

@pea - This change of key (from Am to A melodic minor) is actually a part of the song, transcribed correctly here. The chords are a bit different, but this E/G# is right, and I suspect that it was wholly intended by Sting.

I want to note, however, that this transcription is not entirely accurate

Lack of formatting. Lack of accuracy. Tab incomplete.
