I'm with mingoford. If you're playing an instrument and are serious about learning songs you shouldn't just look some tabs up and try them out. Take some time to learn some theory, it is not hard or confusing, and you don't need to learn every aspect, just learn enough to be able to map a keyboard out and tune your guitar by ear (either harmonics, 12th fret tuning, 5th fret tuning, whatever works for you). For strumming pattern, guys just listen to the song. Copy what it sounds like TO YOU. You don't need to make it the exact same - and you won't. You'll never sing like him, you'll never play it just like him. Make it your own to a degree, unless your in a band that strictly stresses exact covers. Don't stress if you can't get strumming down great, just strum to the beat of the words if that helps any. Use some creativity, your a musician (to some degree) you need some creativity. And I'm not flaming, just suggesting. Good tab.
