Capo 2

D Am
I always knew you
Am G
in your mothers arms
G F#m
I have called your name
F#m D
I have an idea
D Am
placed in your mind
Am G
to be a better man
G F#m
I've made a crown for you
F#m D
put it in your room
D Am
and when the bride groom comes
Am G
there will be noise
G F#m
there will be glad
F#m D
and a perfect bed
D Am
and when you write a poem
Am G
I know the words
G F#m
I know the sounds
F#m D
before you write it down
D Am
only wear your clothes
Am G
I wear them too
G F#m
I wear your shoes
F#m D
and your jacket too
D Am
I always knew you
Am G
in your mothers arms
G F#m
I have called you son
F#m D
I've made amends
D Am
between father and son
G F#m
or if you haven't one

(Repeat over and over again)
D Am
rest in my arms
Am G
sleep in my bed
G F#m
there is a design
F#m D
to what I did and said

you have the right chords but placed in the wrong spots--you spaced them out a bit too much
