Altough it's not satisfactory, it's very helpful. I never managed to figure out those guitarparts myself.

The big problem with figuring out this album in particular is that even though it's relatively high in the mix, the guitar is indistinct. It's drenched in distortion, reverb and some kind of modulation effect, and it's played in such a way that all the notes are let to ring out. I also feel like they cut the midrange a little too much. It just generates this weird sound where the guitar is drowning out everything else and yet the individual notes have disappeared into the mix.
