Song: arms of mary

[Intro]
C G Am F G

[Verse 1]
C G C F
The lights shine down the valley, the wind blows up the alley,
                                                 1 2 3 4
C G C Bb G#
Oh and i wish i was, lyin' in the arms of mary.

[Verse 2]
C G C F
She took the pains of boyhood, and turned them into feel good,
C G C
Oh how i wish i was, lyin' in the arms of mary.

[Chorus]
            Em Am
Mary was the girl who taught me all i had to know,
          F G
She put me right on my first mis-take.
             Em Am
Summer wasn't gone when i learned all she had to show,
          F G G7
She really gave all a boy could take, wo-ah.

[Verse 3]
C G C |F
So now when i get lonely, still looking for the one and only,
                                                      1 2 3 4
C |G |C |Bb G#
That's when i wish i was, lyin' in the arms of mary.

[Solo]
C G C F C G C

[Chorus]
            em am
Mary was the girl who taught me all i had to know,
          F G
She put me right on my first mis-take.
             em am
Summer wasn't gone when i learned all she had to show,
          F G a7
She really gave all a boy could take.

[Verse 4]
D A D G
The lights shine down the valley, the wind blows up the alley,
D A Bm
Oh and i wish i was, lyin' in the arms of mary.

[Outro]
G A Bm G A Bm G A Bm
Lyin' in the arms of mary, lyin' in the arms of mary. ooh ooh ooh.

                            / (break)
G A Bm |:4x > G A G

many thanks, very good attempt, but I can't find any Bb or G# in this song, also the CGCD in the verse is CGCF....the version 2 is correct to my poor ear.

The Bb and G# ARE listed at the end of verses 1 and 3...!
Okay, I'll change the Dm to F.
Cheers!
