Ok it says its a solo but really its more of a break-down but whatever I'll give you the
ending starting from the guitar after the second chorus is repeted the second time

Breakdown: (clean)
--------------------------------------------------------------------
-7---7---7---7---7---7---7---7---7---7---7---7---7---7---7---7------
---8---8---8---8---8---8---8---8---8---8---8---8---8---8---8---8----
--------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------

---------------------------------------------------------------------
-7---7---7---7---7---7---7---7---6---6---6---6---6---6---6---6-------
---8---8---8---8---8---8---8---8---8---8---8---8---8---8---8---------
---------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------------

---------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------------
---8----8----8----8----8----8----8----8---8---8---8---8---8---8---8--
11---11---11---11---11---11---11---11---9---9---9---9---9---9---9---9
---------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------------

then that dies off and and you start playing this

(also clean.listen to song for strumming...works well with 16 note each)

---------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------------
11>>---10>>----------------------------------------------------------
-x>>----x>>----------------------------------------------------------
-9>>----8>>----------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------------

(back to distortion)
-------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------
-16-16-16-16-15-15-15-15-13-13-13-13-11-11-11-11-------
--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x-------
-14-14-14-14-13-13-13-13-11-11-11-11--9--9--9--9-------
-------------------------------------------------------
Play this three times and then after third play this:

---------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------------
--16-16-16-16-16-16-16-16-18-18-18-18-18*----------------------------
---x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x*----------------------------
--14-14-14-14-14-14-14-14-16-16-16-16-16*----------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------------

(*cut off note so it seems shorter)

chorus:
--------------------------------------
--------------------------------------
---------6---------3-------4----------
-4-------6---------3-------4----------
-4-------4-(x16)---1-(x16)-2-(x16)----
-4-(x16)------------------------------

then in between this and next chorus theres a drum role and then a slide by the second
(not shown here)then you play prechorus while secong guitar still plays chorus

prechorus
|-------------------------18----------------------------21------|x2
----18----19----18----19----19----18----19----18----19----19---
-18----18----18----18----------18----18----18----18------------
---------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------

(on real prechorus in the rest of the song you dont play the last note the second time
but in the ending you do)

then you play the outro:

-----------------6-------------9~-
---6---7---6---7---7---6---7---6~-
-6---6---6---6-------6---6---6----
----------------------------------
----------------------------------
----------------------------------
(~=Let Ring)
you can play it like this but if you listen closely to the song the 6's on the third
from the bottem (G) is played twice ech time but it sounds fine like this

And there you have it the proper ending to Make Damn Sure. I cant believ people befor me
get it right and im only 13:P well any ways heres the lyrics for those who really like
song and want to know the lyrics

You've got this new head filled up with smoke
I've got my veins all tangled close
To the jukebox bars you frequent
The safest place to hide
A long night spent with your most obvious weakness
You start shaking at the thought you are everything I want
'Cause you are everything I'm not

And we lay, we lay together just not
Too close, too close (How close is close enough?)
We lay, we lay together just not
Too close, too close

I just wanna break you down so badly
Well I trip over everything you say
I just wanna break you down so badly
In the worst way

My inarticulate store bought hangover hobby kit
It talks, it says, "You, oh, you are so cool."
"Scissor shaped across the bed, you are red, violent red."
You hollow out my hungry eyes
You hollow out my hungry eyes

And we lay, we lay together just not
Too close, too close (How close is close enough?)
We lay, we lay together just not
Too close, too close

I just wanna break you down so badly
Well I trip over everything you say
Well I just wanna break you down so badly
In the worst way

I just wanna break you down so badly
Well I trip over everything you say
I just wanna break you down so badly
In the worst way (worst way)

I'm gonna make damn sure that you can't ever leave
No, you won't ever get too far from me
You won't ever get too far from me
I'll make damn sure that you can't ever leave
No, you won't ever get too far from me
You won't ever get too far from me
You won't ever get too far from me (ever get too far)
You won't ever get too far...

I just wanna break you down so badly
Well I trip over everything you say
Well I just wanna break you down so badly
In the worst way (worst way)

I'm gonna make damn sure
I just wanna break you down so badly
I just wanna break you down so badly (damn sure)
In the worst way (worst way)

this song is NOT in drop d.

the verse riff is clearly played in half step down, as well as all of the other guitar work.
