[Intro]

e||--------0------------|--------0------------|--------0------------||
B||-----2---------------|-----5---------------|-----4---------------||
G||--2------------------|--6------------------|--4------------------||
D||---------------------|---------------------|---------------------||
A||---------------------|---------------------|---------------------||
E||---------------------|---------------------|---------------------||

[Verse 1]

                   A                    C#m              B
Loving him is like driving a new Maserati down a dead end street
A
Faster than the wind
        C#m                   B
Passionate as sin, ended so suddenly
                   A
Loving him is like trying to change your mind
            C#m                         B
Once you’re already flying through the free fall
          A
Like the colors in autumn
        C#m                 B          (Pause)
So bright just before they lose it all

[Chorus]

                A                       E
Losing him was blue like I’d never known
                B
Missing him was dark grey all alone
                   A                       C#m                 B
Forgetting him was like trying to know somebody you've never met
                        A       C#m    B
But loving him was red
                A       C#m    B      (Pause)
Loving him was red

[Verse 2]

                     A                      C#m                                B
Touching him is like realizing all you ever wanted was right there in front of you
                      A                            C#m                 B
Memorizing him was as easy as knowing all the words to your old favorite song
                           A                                C#m                                B
Fighting with him was like trying to solve a crossword and realizing there’s no right answer
                        A                          C#m               B
Regretting him was like wishing you never found out love could be that strong

[Chorus]

                A                       E
Losing him was blue like I’d never known
                B
Missing him was dark grey all alone
                   A                       C#m                 B
Forgetting him was like trying to know somebody you've never met
                        A       C#m
But loving him was red
   B              A    C#m    B
Oh red burning red

[Bridge]

                            A             B
Remembering him comes in flashbacks and echoes
                  C#m               B (or E/Eb)               E
Tell myself it’s time now, gotta let go
                   A                    G#m
But moving on from him is impossible
                              B
When I still see it all in my head

Burning it was red!

[Chorus]

                A                       E
Losing him was blue like I’d never known
                B
Missing him was dark grey all alone
                   A                       C#m                 B
Forgetting him was like trying to know somebody you've never met
                     A    C#m     B
Cause loving him was red yeah yeah red
                A       C#m    B
We're burning red
           A                 C#m
And that's why he's spinning round in my head
B
Comes back to me burning red
A       C#m            B
        Yeah yeah

[Outro]
                    A                 C#m                B
His love was like driving a new Maserati down a dead end street
