[Verse]

E E6 Emaj7 E
Well, I came to the city
              Amaj7 A6 Amaj7 A6
I was running from the past
E E6 Emaj7 E6
   My heart was bleeding
               Amaj7 A6 Amaj7 A6
And it hurt my bones to laugh
E E6 Emaj7 E
   Stayed in the city
               Amaj7 A6 Amaj7 A6
No exception to the rules, to the rule
E E6 Emaj7 E
He was born to love me

I was raised to be his fool, his fool

[Chorus]

A A
Walk that line, torn apart
A G#m E
Spend your whole life trying
A A
Ride that train, free your heart
A G#m E E6 Emaj7 E6
It's midnight up in Harlem

E Emaj7 E6 E
Amaj7 A6 Amaj7 A6

[Verse]

E E6 Emaj7 E
I went down to the river
                  Amaj7 A6 Amaj7 A6
And I took a look around
E E6 Emaj7 E
   There were old man's shoes
                    Amaj7 A6 Amaj7 A6
There were needles on the ground
E E6 Emaj7 E

You can almost see the moon

A
   The streets are windy
G#7 C#m7

It's midnight up in Harlem

Nice job, on the chorus I like to bounce back and forth between an A and an A6 for some movement but that's personal preference.
