Simple Chords. Standard Tuning. Capo on 3rd Fret

[Verse 1]
 Em
My windows look into your living room
          C
Where I spend the afternoon on top of you
 Em
I wonder what it is that I did to make you move
 C
in across away from me
   Em
I hope I never figure out who broke your heart
         C
And if I do, if I do

[Chorus]
      G
I'd spend all night losing sleep
                C
I'd spend the night and I'd lose my mind
                                               Em
Well I'd spend the night and I'd lose my mind..

[Verse 2]
Em
My windows look into your bathroom
          C
Where I spend the evening watching you get yourself clean and
 Em
I wonder why it is that they left this bathroom so
    C
unclean so unlike me
   Em
I hope I never figure out who broke your heart
          C
And if I do, if I do

[Chorus]
      G
I'd spend all night losing sleep
                C
I'd spend the night and I'd lose my mind

I'd spend the night and I'd lose my mind
      G
I'd spend all night losing sleep
                C
I'd spend the night and I'd lose my mind
If I spend the night then I lose my mind

 Em G D C

[Bridge]
        D
Well I hope I never figure out who broke your heart
         C
And if I do
        D
Well I hope I never figure out who broke your heart
              C
And baby if I do
           Em
Well I'd spend all night losing sleep
                C
I'd spend the night and I'd lose my mind
                                           Em
If I spend the night then I lose my mind...
 G
Spend all night losing sleep
                C
I'd spend the night and I'd lose my mind

If I spend the night then I lose my mind
  G
Spend all night losing sleep
                C
I'd spend the night and I'd lose my mind
                                          Em
If I spend the night then I lose my mind

Funny thing is though, it's not wrong. It's just a different octave than how Tegan and Sara play it.

I think what Fender52 is saying, is that it sounds like Tegan and Sarah play it Capo'd on the 5th fret, resulting in different chord voicings.

The song is in G minor. If you Capo the 3rd fret, you play an E minor shape to sound a G minor. If you capo the 5th fret (which I beleive Tegan and Sarah did on the recording, you'd play a D minor shape to sound a G minor.

It's not in a different key, it's not incorrect, it's capo'd lower.
