The Metal - Tenacious D
Tenacious D in The Pick Of Destiny

Tabbed by Captain Planet

Great song, had to tab it! Sounds pretty good to me,
please leave comments and suggestions and rate!!

UPDATE: A lot of people have messaged me over the years since I submitted this tab saying that
the whole song is in drop-D. That's fine, you can play it like that if you like. I wrote the
tab for the main riff in standard tuning because personally I found it easier to play like
that. If you don't, then just transpose everything tabbed on the low-E up two frets.

Tuning: Everything up to the Breakdown/Outro is Standard (eadgbe), but the
is Drop D (dadgbe).

[Breakdown/Outro]

This bit's in Drop D, so you could play the whole song in
Drop D (shifting everything on the E (well, D) string up 2 frets) but
I think this part is just played on a different guitar.

Sweet tab dude. For the Drop D part what I do is quickly tune down the E string whilst the first open fret note rings; this will ONLY work if you can accurately tune to D straight from E.

LONG LIVE THE D!

Thanks for the comment, I reckon it would be quite easy to just de-tune like you said.
