[Intro]

Am, G, F, E x2 (double length) then x2 (normal)

[Verse 1]

         Am G
Baby, do you understand me now
        F E
Sometimes I feel a little mad
              Am G
Well don't you know that no-one alive can always be an angel
        F E
When things go wrong I seem to be bad

[Chorus]
        C Am
I'm just a soul who's intentions are good
        F Am
Oh Lord please don't let me be misunderstood

(repeat intro x2)

[Bridge]

        F G F G
If I seem edgy, I want you to know
         F G C Am
That I never meant to take it out on you
        F G F G
Life has it's problems and I get my share
             F G C E
And that's one thing I never mean to do, 'cause I love you

[Verse 2]

        Am G
Baby, don't you know I'm just human
        F E
And I’ve got thoughts like any other one
            Am G
And sometimes I feel myself alone regretting
        F E
Some foolish thing, some foolish thing I've done

[Chorus]

        C Am
I'm just a soul who's intentions are good
        F Am
Oh Lord please don't let me be misunderstood

(Then Instrum: as intro x loads) (oh lord, please don’t let me be misunderstood)

[Verse 1]

         Am G
Baby, do you understand me now
        F E
Sometimes I feel a little mad
              Am G
Well don't you know that no-one alive can always be an angel
        F E
When things go wrong I seem to be bad

[Chorus]

        C Am
I'm just a soul who's intentions are good
        F Am
Oh Lord please don't let me be misunderstood

[Verse 3]

        Am G
         Baby, sometimes I'm so carefree
         F E
With a joy that's hard to hide
             Am G
And sometimes it seems that all I have to do is worry
        F E
And then you're bound to see my other side

repeat chorus followed by intro then Bridge

then Verse 2 then Chorus
then intro to fade

This is good for the Nina Simone version, either way, it sounds great thanks!

If you put a capo on the 2nd fret, it works pretty well for the Animals
version.

Yeah thanks....I tune for my voice - put the capo where it suits yours (or re-tab as I did)
