If I died tomorrow would this song live on forever?
        D A E/G#

that never shall reply, never shall reply

Chorus 1:
          Bm D
From this second story window I can hear the church bells
               A E/G# F#m
calling out my name. This table is set for one
     Bm D Dm(hold)
Even angels would be homesick in this forsaken town

Verse 2:
A E/G# F#m
On random notes of parchment I'm scrawling my existence
           D A E/G#
Dressed in white, This candle radiates throughout the night
                       F#m D
And it's never burning out, Never burning out

Chorus 2:
          Bm D
From this second story window I can hear the children
              A E/G# F#m
down on Main Street They're singing their songs tonight
       Bm D
In the shadows, I will listen to their every movement

Bridge:
F#m A D
Mr. Higginson, Am I not good enough for the world?
     F#m A D
Am I destined only to die the same way that I lived...
in seclusion

Chorus 3:
     Bm D
From high up on this mountain I can almost see
                  A E/G# F#m
your lonely windowsill, They'll carry you off tonight
          Bm
There's a ghost in your old bedroom
      D Dm(hold)
And a candle burning bright

Outro:
A E/G# F#m(hold)

Instead of E/G# I just play Am, lot easier and sounds good.

Anyway, I love your tab!
