Song Title: Winter in my heart
Album: The Carpenter
Tabbed by: lanster47

Capo 2

(Pick the chord strings for fillers)

(n.c.) G
It must be winter in my heart
                                 Bm
Theres nothing warm in there at all
                          Am (walk) C
I miss the summer and the spring
                               G
The floating, yellow leafs of fall
                          G
A million colors fill my eyes
                          Bm
The Roman candles and the stars
                        Am (walk) C
The calendar says July 4th, but its still winter in my heart

   (Chorus pattern little faster)

G Bm Am G (walk down to Em)
They say flowers bloom in spring
Em D C D
Red and golden, blue and pink
G Bm Am G (walk down to Em)
They say seasons turn in time
Em D C D
Theirs our changing, why wont mine

(verse pattern)
It must be winter in my heart
Theres nothing warm in there at all
I miss the summer and the spring
The floating, yellow leafs of fall
The air in there is frigid cold
I dont know what the reasons are
Calendar says August 1, but its still winter in my heart

(Interlude)
(Repeat Verse chords over what sounds like a theremin
is being played...google theremin and tell me Im crazy)

(Chorus pattern)
They say flowers bloom in spring
Red and golden, blue and pink
They say seasons turn in time
Theirs our changing, why wont mine

(Outro) (G's and Em's)
G
It must be winter in my heart
                         Em

It must be winter in my heart

It must be winter in my heart
                              G
I dont know what the reasons are
G
It must be winter in my heart
                         Em
It must be winter in my heart
                         G
It must be winter in my heart
                         Em
It must be winter in my heart
                              G
I dont know what the reasons are
                         G
It must be winter in my heart
                         Em
It must be winter in my heart

Good job... btw a saw is actually used on that one part after the second verse. Playing a hand saw with a bow used to be very common in what we now call american roots music. A theremin actually does sound almost exactly the same, so it's an easy mistake, but as with any roots music acoustic > electric.

Thanks - nice job, just two little corrections. Let me know what you think.

In the chorus, change the Am chords to C; and change the 1st & 3rd D to G.
