intro: Am

Verse:

Am
Eyes to take you dancing,
Dm/A
Mouth to leave your wife,
G5 Em
Legs to run away with, and you wonder why

Am Dm/A
Heart that makes you bypass every other girl
G5 Em
Smile that keeps you grinning at the madness of this world

Chorus:

             Am Em
And like the blackbird on the wire
Am Em
I will not take prey on you,
Em Am
You wouldn't want me to
            B Em
For I'm too soft for such a thing
             Am Em
And like the blackbird on the wire
Am Em
I just watch you by
Em Am
The tears I knew I'd cry
       B Em
Fall unnoticed down below.

(as verse)

And with a tongue built from quick silver
And a character of steel
They actually come and ask me how I feel

interlude: verse chords once then chorus chords once

(as chorus)

And like the blackbird on the wire
I will not take prey on you,
You wouldn't want me to
For I'm too soft for such a thing
And like the blackbird on the wire
I just watch you by
The tears I knew I'd cry
Fall unnoticed down below,

Am
down below,
down below,
down below.

mostly good; I think that the 4th and 8th line of the chorus end in E major not E minor.

Looking back over this, I concur, is E major. E7 is pretty cool too. I reckon there's a few other E7's chucked in there as embellishments to some other Em's. Who Knew...
