 [Intro]

 G D/F# Cadd9

 [Verse 1]

     G D/F# Cadd9
You only know what I want you to,
         G D/F# Cadd9
I know everything you don't want me to.
         G D/F# Cadd9
Oh your mouth is poison, your mouth is wine...
        G D/F# Cadd9
Oh you think your dreams are the same as mine...

 [Chorus]

    G D/F#
oh I don't love you, but I always will,
  Cadd9 D/F#
oh I don't love you, but I always will.
 G D/F#
I don't love you, but I always will,
   Cadd9
 I always, will..

 [Verse 2]

   G D/F# Cadd9
I wish you'd hold me when I turn my back,
         G D/F# Cadd9
ooh the less I give, the more I get back...
         G D/F# Cadd9
Oh your hands can heal, your hands can bruise,
         G D/F# Cadd9
I don't have a choice, but I still choose you...

 [Chorus]

    G D/F#
Oh I don't love you, but I always will,
   Cadd9 D/F#
oh I don't love you, but I always will...
 G D/F#
I don't love you, but I always will,
   Cadd9 D/F#
oh I don't love you, but I always will.
 G D/F# Cadd9 D/F#
I don't love you, but I always will, I don't love you, but I always will.
 G D/F# Cadd9
I don't love you, but I always will, I always, will.
   G D/F#
 I always, will...
   Cadd9
 I always, will...
   G D/F#
 I always, will...
   Cadd9
 I always, will...

When you are playing the Cadd9 John Paul uses his pinky on the 4th fret of the D string to add color for a phrase.
Using the 123 pattern it goes 123, 123, 1 pinky on 23, 1 pinky pull off 23.
Tiny difference but I found myself wanting that extra note

When I first picked this out, I charted it pretty much as it was shown here. But, if you listen closely there is an F# bass note that you are not going to be able to hit with capo VI. On the video there are a few brief glimpses of John Paul playing the guitar, and he appears to have the capo on 2nd fret, which allows you to pick up the F# bass note playing the E form on the F# chord. Unfortunately I cannot reproduce exactly all the rest of the chords/sounds, and the video does not help much since there are no real clear looks at the guitar playing. The chords here transposed work well enough to sing it, but I would really like to see the exact chords he is playing.
