(Intro:)
I I

I
On the lam from the law
I
On the steps of the capital
I I
You shot a plainclothes cop on the ten o'clock
II
And I saw momentarily
II I
They flashed a photograph, it couldn't be you
II
You'd been abused so horribly
II I I
But you were there in some anonymous room
I
And I recall that fall
I
I was working for the government
I I
And in a bathroom stall off the national mall
II
How we kissed so sweetly
II I
How could I refuse a favor or two
II
And for a tryst in the greenery
II I I
I gave you documents and microfilm too

G
And from my ten floor tenement
                      Am
Where once our bodies lay
                         C
How I longed to hear you say
Cm G
"No they'll never catch me now
Cm
No they'll never catch me
Am F
No they cannot catch me now
   E F
We will escape somehow
Fm
Somehow, oh"

I I

I
It was late one night
I
I was awoken by the telephone
I I
I heard a strangled cry on the end of the line
II
Purloined in Petrograd
II I
They were suspicious of where your loyalties lay
II
So I paid off a bureaucrat
II I I
To convince your captors there to secret you away

G
And at the gate of the embassy
                          Am
Our hands met through the bars
                           C
As your whisper stilled my heart
Cm G
"No they'll never catch me now
Cm
No they'll never catch me
Am F
No they cannot catch me now
   E F
We will escape somehow
Fm
Somehow, oh"

(Interlude:)
C B C B G

G
And I dreamt one night
                  F#
You were there in form
      G
Hands held high
      F#
In uniform
G
Oh
F#
Oh

I I

I
It was ten years on
I
When you resurfaced in a motorcar
I C
And with the wave of an arm you were there and gone

Amazing tab!
Agh! I love this song to the depths of no avail!
Sorry for the big words, I thought they would be funny if you understood them. Or not, I'm not trying to tell you what to do or what to be.
All in all, a job well done.

One more thing...
On the first variation of section I, the second to last chord, E5/C sounds better when you play it like this, I could be wrong though.
E:-----
B:--0--
G:--4--
D:--4--
A:--3--
E:-----

This the tab for the interlude part I think. Correct it if it is wrong. Great tab. Also, the letters indicate during which chord to play them.
