I don't know about the right guitar, but the left one definitely does not fit. I have been trying to crack this section on and off for two or three years now and I know the majority of it, but playing what you have written twice does not fit, it is cut short.
Ill keep at it tonight if I get it cracked. (it's currently half 4 in the morning and i'm going slightly insane).

Mark the date lads, I've only gone and done it!
In the second section (that you repeat) you need an extra 5/8 bar on the and so it will look something like this

e|----------------------------------------|
B|--------------------8--10---------------|
G|9--10-----9--10---------------9--10-----|
D|--8---9-----8---9-----9---9-----8---9---|
A|--------8---------8---------8---------8-|
E|----------------------------------------|

e|----------------------------------------------------------------|
B|----------------------------------------------------------------|
G|----7-----9----10---------7---9----10---------7-----9----10-----------7|
D|--8---8-----8-----9-----8---8---8-----9-----8---8-----8-----9------8-----8|
A|9-------9-----7-----7-9-----------7-----7-9-------9-----7-----7--9---------9|
E|----------------------------------------------------------------|

And then repeat all of that section.

In the end, you should be able to count 11/8, 10/8, 11/8, 10/8 for the first section and then 5/8, 5/8, 5/8, 5/8 - 8/8, 10/8, 11/8, 8/8.

you're right on the times but the last 3 notes should be the same as the way it's played in unison

D|----8-----9----------|
A|--9---------8----|
