A friend of mine played guitar for this band as a hired gun, he told me that they handed out charts and it's not a F it's an FMAJ7 to Em7 to Dm7 to GMAJ7

OK, I had to go back and listen to this one again. I'm going to stick with what I have, but your comment is fine and others may want play it that way.

I think your FM7 and Dm7 sound really good along with the original. But I think C/E sound more fitting to the original. Likewise, a G after the Dm7 might sound OK, especially as a change up at a transition, but I think the GM7 sounds out of place. In the original, the bass is doing a C-D-E with the strong beats on the C and E reinforcing a C major feel to me. But if I were playing it, I think the G would be OK at the end of the lines.

Anyways, thanks for the feedback and alternate chords!
