So here's a acoustic version of The Gaslight Anthem's 'Casanova, Baby!'

Capo on 3rd fr.
The main chord pattern in this song is G Em7 D (without capo it is Bb Gm7 F, but I
to play it with a capo because it is easier and sounds better)

I would recommend to play the chords like this:

G (320033)
Em7 (022033)
Em (022000)
Dsus (xx0233)
Cadd9 (032033)

However, you can also play the "standard chords" but I guess it sounds better with this
have fun and enjoy. feel free to comment and/ or correct.

[Intro]

G G Em7 Dsus (2x)

[Verse]

G
Do you hear that whistle wail?
Em7 Dsus
Think the end is coming in?
G
But I'm a whole lot worse than well
Em7 Dsus
But I'm determined to slip this skin
G
And I know your dying for a good time
Em7 Dsus Cadd9
Dying to breath again
G Dsus
Oh my my, Virginia

[Chorus]

(Dsus) G
We could run all night
    Em7 Dsus
And dance upon the architecture
 G
Come and take my hand
     Em7 Dsus
I'll do the very best I can
         Em Cadd9
Boy, I still wanna be your man
      G Dsus Em Cadd9
I'm still these nervous feet and heart of stone
    G Dsus (G)
Forget this dead mans town, I'll take you home

G G Em7 Dsus (2x)

Cadd9 Cadd9 Em7 Dsus (G)

[Verse]

G
Do you hear me late at night?
Em7 Dsus
Always picking at the pieces
          G
Sometimes nothing comes out right
    Em7 Dsus
And nothing is relieving
      G
But every slow mans song
     Em7 Dsus Cadd9
Is a night I'd like to spend with you
     G Dsus
Just twisting the night away

G
But it's past a quarter to three
         Em7 Dsus
And it's past the midnight hour
  G
Mustang Sally's left the building
      Em7 Dsus
And we're so much worse without her
     G
If I could put down this ol' hammer
 Em7 Dsus Cadd9
I'd take you somewhere new
 G Dsus
Oh my my, Virginia

[Chorus]

(Dsus) G
We could run all night
    Em7 Dsus
And dance upon the architecture
 G
Come and take my hand
     Em7 Dsus
I'll do the very best I can
         Em Cadd9
Boy, I still wanna be your man
      G Dsus Em Cadd9
I'm still these nervous feet and heart of stone
    G Dsus (G)
Forget this dead mans town, I'll take you home

G G Em7 Dsus (3x)

Cadd9 Cadd9 G Dsus
             Oh my my, Virginia

[Chorus]

(Dsus) G
We could run all night
    Em7 Dsus
And dance upon the architecture
 G
Come and take my hand
     Em7 Dsus
I'll do the very best I can
         Em Cadd9
Boy, I still wanna be your man
      G Dsus Em Cadd9
I'm still these nervous feet and heart of stone
    G Dsus (G)
Forget this dead mans town, I'll take you home

Yea, swarley is right... But still, fantastic job. (PS, not only does the capo sound better, that's the way Brian plays it, so there's no reason to play it in Bb. That's an ugly key on guitar anyway.) Great job!

correct chords, but actually, gaslight plays this in D standard tuning and in the key of C, so if you want it to sound identical to them, tune down to D and transpose this +5. good work!
