Hey here's an acoustic version of High Lonesome.
have fun and feel free to comment. I saw Brian Fallon playing this one somewhere
on you tube. Should be pretty much accurate.

Brian tuned everything half step down, but still sounds good with standard tuning.

C (032010)
C 2   (032013) -----------------> in the bridge

G (320033) ------------------| in the verse & chorus
G 2 (320013) ------------------| in the intro & bridge
G/E (055410) ------------------| before chorus

F/E (033210)
Dm (xx0231)

Am7 (002213) ------------------| in the intro & verse
Am (002210) ------------------| in the chorus

If you have trouble playing or remembering the chords, you can also play the
standard chords, still sounds good. but Brian Fallon plays it the way I tabed it.
please rate and feel free to correct

Intro:

C G 2* F/E (2x) * played very briefly

Am7 F/E (2x)

G/E

Verse:
                 Am7
So the ambulances came
               Dm G
They took your pulse and packed up your things
               Am7
And the papers read
          C G
Some boys forget what the heart it brings
                          Am7
And the pounding in the street
         Dm G
Was your heart in four four time
                   Am7
And the taste of defeat
          C G F/E G/E
Was was never too far from your mind

Chorus:

     Am F/E C G
And Maria came from Nashville with a suitcase in her hand
         Am F/E C G
I always kinda sorta wished I looked like Elvis
          Am F/E C G
And in my head there's all these classic cars and outlaw cowboy bands
         Am F/E C G
I always kinda sorta wish I'm someone else

Verse:
           Am7
So gravity came
              Dm G
And stole the temple that the schoolboys praised
                      Am7
And the crowd shuffled in
               C
You're getting drinks for the same boys
   G Am7
Who once bought you everything
                           Dm
And the patter on the bar
                 G
Was just this one time
              Am7
The patter on the bar
              C
Was just this one night
G F/E G/E
Only to get by

Chorus:

Bridge:

Am7 C 2 G 2
    There were Southern accents
           Am7 C 2 G 2
On the radio As I drove home
           Am7
And at night I wake up with the sheets soaking wet
            C 2 G 2
It's a pretty good song Maybe you know the rest
Am7 C 2 G
    Maybe you know the rest

Chorus:

          Am F/E
When our boots they hit the ground       {
            C                 G          {
They made a high and lonesome sound { 3x

          Am F/E
When our boots they hit the ground
            C G Am
They made a high, a high and lonesome sound

I would end the song on C not on Am but otherwise it's perfect I think.

It's actually tuned a whole step down, not a half step, and G/E is played 055430, but otherwise your tab is perfect
