I play it acoustic.
Tuned a full step down. I put a capo on the second fret to fit my vocal range
better, and find it helps finger the F#m a little bit. Whatever you need.

  F#m A E
e|-x-|-0-|-0-|
B|-2-|-2-|-0-|
G|-5-|-2-|-1-|
D|-2-|-2-|-2-|
A|-4-|-0-|-2-|
E|-2-|-0-|-0-|

                   Intro
               F#m E D E (x4) Listen for the palm mutes

   F#m A E F#m A E
I cut my teeth on the stone of a teenage romance

          F#m A E F#m A E
I was the salt of the earth, I was hard, and the last of the independents

        D E F#m
And the breath from my chest I was blowing kerosene

            D E F#m
My lips and fingertips were stone, I wore my heart on my jeans

           D E F#m
I sang the blues like the dogs left too long in the street
        D E F#m
I still sing the blues with the dogs

          A E F#m
And I got half a mind to let it all burn up in this fire

            A E F#m
That's been burning through my veins since I first learned to cry

               A E F#m
I'd watch this whole night come down and never miss her again

        D E
I never felt right and never fit in

             (F#m E D E) x4 same as intro
Walking in my own skin

          F#m A E F#m A E
Now I got scars like the number of stars, my mind's full of vipers

          F#m A E F#m A E
I got the dust of the desert in my bones, coming through the amplifiers

            D E F#m
Between the minor chord fall and the fourth and the fifth

       D E F#m
It's a broken Hallelujah and a pain in my fist

          D E F#m
I wash my hands like the man with the blood on his teeth

         D E F#m
Over and over without relief

          A E F#m
And I got nothing for you darling but a story to tell

          A E F#m
About the rain on the pavement and the sound as it fell

               A E F#m
I'd watch this whole night come down and never miss her again

        D E
I never felt right and never fit in

              A E F#m
Walking in my old man shoes, with my scientist heart

        A E F#m
I got a fever and a beaker and a shot in the dark

         A E F#m
I need a Cadillac ride, I need a soft summer night

      D E
Say a prayer for my soul, Señorita

                  F#m E D
Because I've been dying out here in the cold and the snow

           F#m E D
I've got a picture of you, Mama, to remind me of home

       F#m E D
On the hood of a Dodge on a Saturday night

      D E
Say a prayer for my soul, Señorita

Wrong key - this would be for standard tuning. This would require capo 2 to sound like the recording. Also, that F#m sounds wonky...not sure what that C note is doing in there. Would just play it like a normal F#m.
