Robot Boy ( The GOASST )

      Gm F#
On the first day, it started to rain
      C# C#m
Children were laughing, and went out to play
      Gm F#
But soon all the streets, were rivers and streams
      C# F
And creatures were trickling in front of the deep
      Eb Gm
Cars floating like ships, over skyscraper tips
      Eb7 D7
The tallest of trees swaying like seaweed

    G F Bb
Aluminum and paper clips
    F Cm D Eb Bb
Refrigerator parts and microchips
    G F Bb
A rudimentary robot boy
    F Cm CmX
A heart of rubber bands and broken toys

       Gm F#
Just before dusk, afraid he might rust
       C# C#m
He climbed aboard, an upside down bus
       Gm F#
With bottle-cap eyes, he soon realized
       C# F
That nobody else, but he had survived
       Eb Gm
Sifting through the debris, of kindred machines
       Eb7 D7
Drifting through a graveyard, of sunken cities

    G F Bb
Aluminum and paper clips
    F Cm D Eb Bb
Refrigerator parts and microchips
    G F Bb
A rudimentary robot boy
    F Cm CmX
A heart of rubber bands and broken toys

       Gm F#
For thirty nights, with no land in sight
       C# C#m
He never was hungry, or lonesome or tired
       Gm F#
His mechanical brain, could not go insane
       C# F
His metallic skin, could never feel pain
       Eb Gm
The whales gathered round, in sibilant sound
       Eb7 D7
They told him about, the only way out:

        B Em
"If you want to survive, if you want to shine…
        A D
Then you've got to find, someone of your kind
        B Em Em7
As they pulled him away, across the waves"

He saw a pretty face, made of tin cans and lace

    G F Bb
Aluminum and balloon lips
    F Cm D Eb Bb
Refrigerator parts and cardboard hips
    G F Bb
A rudimentary robot girl
    F Cm CmX
A heart of rubber bands and plastic pearls

Thanks for these chords; this is an amazing song. I am currently working on tabbing the acoustic version of this song with all the fancy lead-work mixed in with these rhythm chords; so, look for that soon.

At the end of each chorus you have labelled "CmX", which doesn't really mean anything. I have found that playing a D7 in it's place sounds correct to the Acoustic Sessions album recording.

Hi! thanks for your feedback! CmX actually means "I have no idea which chord is being played here, but it sounds like a Cm something"
