Verse:

Dmin Gadd9 C G7 intro x 2
The first time that I met her I was throwing up in the ladies room stall

Dmin Gadd9 C G7 Amin
She asked me if I needed anything; I said, "I think I spilled my drink"

                  Gadd9
And that's how it started (or so I'd like to believe)...

intro x 2

Dmin Gadd9 C G7 intro x 2
She took me to her mother's house outside of town where the stars hang down

Dmin Gadd9 C G7 Amin
She said she'd never seen someone so lost, I said I'd never felt so found

         Gadd9 D
and then I kissed her on the cheek... and so she kissed me on the mouth

intro x 2

Dmin Gadd9 C G7 intro x 2
The spring was poppin' daises up 'round rusted trunks and busted lawn chairs

Dmin Gadd9 C G7 Amin
We moved into a studio in Council Bluffs to save a couple bucks

           Gadd9
Where the mice came out at night, neighbors were screaming all the time

intro x 2

Dmin Gadd9 C G7 intro x 2
We'd make love in the afternoons to Chelsea Girls and Bachelor No. 2

Dmin Gadd9 C G7 Amin
I'd play for her some songs I wrote, she'd joke and say I'm shooting through the roof

         Gadd9
I'd say, "They're all for you, dear, I'll write the album of the year."

intro x 2

Chorus:

Dmin Gadd9
And I know she loved me then, I swear to God she did

C B Amin Gadd9
It was the way she'd bite my lower lip and push her hips against my hips

F Gadd9
and dig her nails so deep into my skin.

intro x 4

Pretty good tab. Personally, I think it sounds better to play GMaj instead of G7 or Gadd9. For the parts when it goes Gadd9-C-G7 etc. I like to play it like this:

e--3 3 3
B--3 3 3
G--0 0 0
D--0 2 0
A--2 3 2
E--3 x 3

So I guess that would be GMaj Cadd9. But whatever you like. Also, the fingering for Dmin is incorrect, it is supposed to look like this

e--1
B--3
G--2
D--0
A--x
E--x

The fingering you gave is actually a fragment of Amin IIRC, which actually sounds pretty good instead of Dmin. Both work, I think, especially considering how the intro sort of runs into it. For the solo, I improvise something off the A dorian mode. I'll work on a tab for the solo.

A Dorian

e---5-7-8---
B---5-7-8---
G-4-5-7-----
D-4-5-7-----
A---5-7----
E---5-7-8---

the chord progression for the verse is definitely wrong. it should be Dm, G, C, C/B (010020), Am7. it sounds much more
accurate then what is written here.
