[Verse 1]

B
Visions of you dance through my head
Dark heroine of the books I have read
E F# B
Pages torn out, I made up my own world
B
Deep in the dream, it's all built to last
You pull the plug, drain me down fast
E F# B
Pop my balloon, I fell from a great high

[Pre-Chorus 1]

                         Abm
And I'm tired of wasting life
          F# E
Searching out going around
        F# E F# B
What became such a false alarm

[Chorus]

                           Abm
'Cause I'm looking for the truth
         F# E
Not some tired cheap cliché
      F# E F# B
False treasure in a shallow pond
B
Alright

(see tab above)

[Verse 2]

B
Fireworks blew out the top of your head
Powder and spark drew me to bed
E F# B
Drift with you there down a dark and frozen stream
B
I thought I'd found jewel of the Nile
You're just a shiny rock in my pile
E F# B
So many stones, stuck in my shoes

[Pre-Chorus 2]

                      Abm
And I know if there's enough
         F# E
It could make up a road
           F# E F# B
That could lead me far from this town

[Chorus]

                           Abm
'Cause I'm looking for the truth
         F# E
Not some tired cheap cliché
      F# E F# B
False treasure in a shallow pond

[Pre-Chorus 1]

                         Abm
And I'm tired of wasting life
          F# E
Searching out going around
       F# E
What became such a false alarm

[Outro]

F# E
Just a false alarm
F# E
Just a false alarm
F# E
Just a false alarm
F# E
A false alarm

F# E

End with these chords as long as you wish. Singing whatever lyrics you can make of what they finish with :)

its ok. should probably be on capo 2. the chord structure that way is far more common of their style. I'm not sure why you labeled them as [pre chorus 1 and 2] seeing as their all the same chord progression. theyre all part of the chorus.

and you're missing the ending, it definitely goes back to the minor, "i put out the light now"... and it ends on B (or on capo 2, A)
