the only note that makes sense is the first one. can't figure out why you would go from 8th fret, A string all the way down to F on the E string, first fret, then A# on E string, 6th fret. Maybe I'm listening to another version. Good effort -- but it sounds nothing like the notes I'm hearing.

It actually makes perfect sense. The vamp is F Bb. It actually sounds like the Isley Bros. are playing it that way, because of how fat sounding the recording is. The verse part is a bit weird, but I made som'n up that sounds similar. A# is Bb.
