Song: On With The Show
Artist: Lawrence Arms
Album: Greatest Story Ever Told
contact me: RedSquirrel5721 on AIM or @hotmail.com or on yahoo

Lawrence Arms are one of the greatest "intelli-punk" bands ever... i once read, combine
intellectual lyrics with a little lefty literature and 3 cases of the most watered down
piss beer and you have a slight taste of the LA... and it couldn't be more true. this
entire album has the theme of "a clown here to entertain" and a lot of the songs tie
together, if you don't have it go out and BUY it.... thats where you go to your local
record store and give them money... yes local... if you don't have one... order the CD
from fatwreck.com don't go to sam goody or fye or on cue or any of that sh*t... so here
we go, on with the show!

E G C D
Telephone Telephone! What did you scream into your telephone?
	     E G C D
Telephone! What did you scream into your telephone? Telephone!?

      E E E G C
I'm a shit stain slave with a grind of my own.
  E G D
I work day and night, less respect than a Juggalo.
    E G C
I'm frying on the outside and frozen in the center.
    E G D
I'm telling you I'm telling you to watch out for my temper.
C
Cuz you won't like me when I'm angry.
D
You'll see banners everywhere.
C D
The street where I'm from in the town where I live is now barely even there.

E G C D

  E G C
I haven't had fun in what seems like years.
	E G D
I had a thumbs up for you, but it was caught in the gears.
      E G C
These tears are just onion eyes this heart is just broken.
     E G D
This body is a break room where the burnouts are smoking.
C D

Ok, the tab kinda correct but it´s not an E major chord as the tab says but minor. Instead of being ---------
---------

ok sorry about the other post. Ok so it s a minor E chord, that is (from low E to high E, left to right) 0 2 2 0 0 0 instead of being 0 2 2 1 0 0 (which is E major)as the tab says.

Hope this helps. This song is in a G tonality,
Let s take this tonality as an example. Major chords are G, D, C and minor chords are B, F#, E and A. I don t know much about theory, but in classic tonality (i m not talking about phrigian or whatever, it works like this.
I know Chris doesn t use all these chords in this song, just take this as an example.

Of course you can do some stuff and mix tonalities but in such a case, remember what i wrote, it s really helpful, helped me a whole lot. If you have any questions e mail me don t hesitate mail me at vandalmarabu@hotmail.com . A bit of theory helps a LOT, and it s nice not to play only with power chords.
