Chorus

just strum or pick out notes from these chords:

C Em G Am

Falling out of touch with all my
friends are somewhere getting wasted,
hope they’re staying glued together,
I have arms for them.

Take another sip of them,
it floats around and takes me over
like a little drop of ink in a glass of water

Get inside their clothes
with my green gloves
watch their videos, in their chairs.
Get inside their beds
with my green gloves
Get inside their heads, love their loves.

Cinderella through the room
I glide and swan cause I’m the best slow dancer
in the universe

Falling out of touch with all my
friends are somewhere getting wasted,
hope they’re staying glued together,
I have arms for them.

Get inside their clothes
with my green gloves
watch their videos, in their chairs.
Get inside their beds
with my green gloves
Get inside their heads, love their loves.

Now I hardly know them
and I’ll take my time
I’ll carry them over, and I’ll make them mine.

Get inside their clothes
with my green gloves
watch their videos, in their chairs.
Get inside their beds
with my green gloves
Get inside their heads, love their loves.

the octaves should all be down 2 frets because you didn't take the capo into account.
notes are pretty much right tho. I don't know if they actually play it this way, instead of octaves i think they've just mic'd the picking sound super loud and it sounds similar to hitting the muted string in the middle.

Thanks for the tab tho!... doesnt seem to be a lot of The National fans on UG
which sucks

The octaves are right. The capo is correctly figured in. Thanks for this!

You're right that your fingers will be on those frets, but relative to the capo (which is fret zero), the first octave for example, should be on the 12th fret instead of 14th. Try taking your capo off and playing it on the 14th fret, doesnt sound right...

Just trying to help out those who dont have a capo, or need to move their capo to fit their voice
