Capo 3
I use my thumb for the "F#" (the low 2). Pull the "B" off to "A"
or the "A" to the "E" to add some color. More notes at the bottom.

       D5 F#m G2
You’re cussing a storm in a cocktail dress
     D5 F#m G2
your mother wore when she was young
D5 F#m G2
Red southern saint around your neck
  D5 F#m G2
A wet martini in a paper cup

            D2 A/F# G2
You’re a wasp nest
            D2 A/F# G2
You’re a wasp nest

     D5 F#m G2
Your eyes are broken bottles
D5 F#m G2
   And I’m afraid to ask
    D5 F#m G2
And all your wrath and cutting beauty
       D5 F#m G2
You’re poison in the pretty glass

            D2 A/F# G2
You’re a wasp nest
            D2 A/F# G2
You’re a wasp nest

       D2 A/F# G2
You’re all humming live wires
D2 A/F# G2
under your killing clothes.
D2 A/F# G2
Get over here, I wanna
D2 A/F# G2
kiss your skinny throat

            D2 A/F# G2
You’re a wasp nest
            D2 A/F# G2
You’re a wasp nest

Notes

There’s more than one guitar, and you start hear added notes like this.
I play this down an octave or drop the chord and move my hand up
for a moment.

Capo 3
                    or
---0---7p5-------- ---0---0----------|
---3-------------- ---3---3----------|
---2-------------- ---2---4p2--------|
-0----0----------- -0----0-----------|
------------------ ------------------|
------------------ ------------------|

You might be able to play the flourishes better if you move the
capo to the 8th fret and D chords to A chords.
The problem is you can’t play the G# in the bass

A5 A5/F# A5/G or A2 etc
---------|--------|--------- -------0--2p0---------------|
---------|--------|--------- ---0---0--------------------|
---2---2-|--2---2-|--2------ ---2---2--------------------|
---2---2-|--2---2-|--2------ ---2---2--------------------|
-0----0--|--------|--------- -0----0---------------------|
---------|?----?--|0-------- ----------------------------|

In this way, you can hit that low bass note that isn't present in the first chord

capo 1

---------|--------|---------
---5---5-|--4---4-|---------
---4---4-|--4---4-|--4------
---------|--------|--2------
---------|--------|-0-------
-0----0--|4----4--|---------

I also like to play it in a finger picking upwards pattern to get the sound more like the recording
