Verse:

G Em/G Am D
We sat around the table and drank a bottle of wine

G Em/G Am D
And it poured around us like a moat till no one could get us, and I was fine

              G Em/G Am D
And I said, "Haven't I paid my dues by now, haven't I paid my dues by now

 G Em Am D
Haven't I paid my dues by now, don't I get the right to choose?

     D C Dsus4
And I choose you to take up all of my time

          C Dsus4
I choose you because you're funny and kind

C Em Am D
I want easy people from now on"

Chorus:
G Em/G Am D
Easy people, people
G Em/G Am D
Easy people, people

G Em/G Am D
My house is full of empty rooms and broken frames and other people's stuff

        G Em/G Am D
In my house we see by Christmas lights and your TV, and that seems to be enough

D C Dsus4
To see what we want to see

           C Dsus4
You let me be who I want to be

      C Em Am D
And we'll be easy from now on, from now on

Chorus

C/G Dsus4 C/G Dsus4
Why can't I be easy, why can't I be easy like you?

Intro

     G Em/G Am D
For you I would give the songs I write, the words I pray, the morning light

      G Em/G Am D
That pumps into this room today, if you would only rise, if you would only say

 D C Dsus4
"I want you, you take up all of my time

        C Dsus4
I want you because you're funny and kind

      C Em Am D
And we'll be easy from now on, from now on"

Chorus a bunch of times

Intro w/ Ending

Chord shapes:
G (320033)

C(x32010) Look to hammer on B string for Cmaj7 feel

Em/G(022003) Sometimes the G isn’t there, but it isn’t that important

Am(x02210) Look for hammer on B string

D(xx0232) Look to hammer on E string for Dsus2 feel

Dsus4(x5403x) This could be slid into from the C (because of same shape).

The C chords don't sound right to me. I think the verse should be:
C9 Em/G Am D
C9 Em/G Am D
Cmaj7 Em/G Am D
Cmaj7 Em/G Am D
C Dsus4 (this could also be C(332010) to D11(554030))
C Dsus4
C9 Em Am D

The C9 in the first two lines adds the d in the melody and the Cmaj7 in the next two lines adds the b in the melody.
