G C G -intro

C G
Well I was young
C G Am Em
i was young and naive
C G
as I was told,
C G Am Em
as I was told so I believed
D Em G C Am Em C
and I was told there's only one road that leads you home

          D Am
and the truth was a cave on the mountainside
           Em D C
and I'd seek it out until the day I died

G Am C

C G
I was bound
C G Am Em
I was bound and determined
C G
to be the child
C G Am Em
to be the child that you wanted
D Em C G Em C
but I was blind to every sign you left for me to find
         Em Am Em C
and the truth became a tool that I held in my hand
Em D C
I wielded it, but I did not understand

G D Am
C D Am
C Am G
C G Am D
G C G Am
G Em C

 C G
I got tired
C G D G
of giving more than you gave to me
C G C G C G
and I desired a truth I wouldn't have to seek
 D C Em C D C
but in the silence I heard you calling out to me

Great work man. But it sounds closer to the song if you tune all the strings a half step down. Other then that, keep up the great work man!

I find this sounds best on capo 2, and played in E (transpose -3 for this tab)!
