Great version! Mick Taylor's "Love In Vain" is the reason I wanted to learn how to play slide guitar. I read long ago in Guitar Player where J. Geils of the band with the same name said (roughly recalled - it's been a LONG time) Taylor's playing on this song was the best tone & touch slide he'd ever heard.
