Verse 1:
   E
So far from home,
   B
My cry of pain,
      E B
Won't ease my longing heart,
  E
I miss you mam,
  B
I miss you dad,
    E B
I'm falling apart,
         E B
Now when I look out my window,
          E B
Through a winter evening rain,
  E B
I see the same sky you see at home,
    E B
Somehow it's not the same,

Chorus:
             E B
Yeah and I'm longing to get home,
      E B
How I miss all your loving smiles,
    A B
And Oh how the winter bites,
               E
When you're so far away,
       B
For so long,
For far too long,

Tell her it won't be long,
Until I'm home to stay,
And I won't ever go again,
By her side I'll always stay,

Chorus

Try using simply barre chord shapes, with the index finger lifted off the b & e strings, playing also the ordinary open e - sounds alot better.
