Song: I'll never find another you
Artist: The Seekers
Composer: Tom Springfield
Tabbed by DJ
25th Aug 2015

This is the way Bruce Woodley plays the song on his six string.

CAPO: 1st fret (Sounds in the key of Bb)

Chord names and fret positions are relative to the capo:
A = x02220   E  = 022100   E7 * = xx0454   C#m = x46654
D = xx0232   E7 = 022130   B7   = x24242   F#m = 244222

(* Technically an E/D, but in the context of the song E7 seemed
   a better name)

For Keith Podger's part, his 12 string is tuned down a whole tone
to DGCFAD, and he plays the song in C (which still sounds in Bb).
As well as the blend of the 6 and 12 string guitars, the detuning
takes some strain off the 12 string's neck and adds extra tones
and harmonics which gave the band a much fuller live sound.
[N.B. The usual conventional 12 string pairing of the bottom 4
strings in octaves, and the top 2 strings in unison still applies
with this dropped tuning]

Here's Keith's intro riff in dropped tuning:
   (C) (F) (G)
d |-----------------|-----3-------------| [x4]
A |-----------------|-----3-------------|
F |-------0---------|-----0-------------|
C |-----2---3-2-0---|-----0----------0--|
G |--3--------------|----(2)-------2----|
D |-----------------|--3------3---------|

Here's the riff in standard tuning:
    (A) (D) (E)
e |------------------|-----0------------| [x4]
B |------------------|-----0------------|
G |------------------|-----1------------|
D |-------2--0-------|-----2------------|
A |--0--4-------4--2-|----(2)--------2--|
E |------------------|--0-----0----4----|

Here's a link to a video of The Seekers playing this song live
at the BBC back in 1968:

In this TV performance in 2004, the chords are seen more clearly:

For the later 50th anniversary tour performances they dropped the
key down a semi-tone to A (so as shown below, but without a capo).

[Verse 1]
E7 * D A D B7 E
There's a new world somewhere, they call the promised land,
 E7 A C#m D E7
And I'll be there someday, if you will hold my hand,
         F#m D E D C#m
I still need you there be - side me, no matter what I do,
 D A F#m D E A D E
For I know I'll never find a - nother you--------!

[Verse 2]
  E E7 A D B7 E
There is always someone for each of us they say,
E7 A C#m D E
And you'll be my someone for - ever and a day,
E7 F#m D E D C#m
I could search the whole world over, un - til my life is through,
D A F#m D E A D A
But I know I'll never find a - nother you---------!

[Bridge]
 A C#m F#m D A E A
It's a long, long, journey, so stay by my side,
 A C#m F#m E D A
When I walk through the storm you'll be my guide,
D E
Be my guide----!

[Verse 3]
E E7 A D B7 E
If they gave me a fortune, my pleasure would be small,
E7 A C#m D E
I could lose it all to - morrow, and never mind at all,
E7 F#m D E D C#m
But if I should lose your love, dear, I don't know what I'd do,
 D A F#m D E A D E E7
For I know I'll never find a - nother you---------!

[Verse 4]
   A D B7 E E7
Oo---,oo---, oo -oo! Oo, oo, oo, oo, oo, oo!
| / / / / | / / / / | / /__/ / / | / / / / |

   A C#m D E
Ah---, ah--, ah, ah---, Ah---, ah, ah, ah, ah----!
| / / / / | / / / / | / /__/ / / |

E7 F#m D E D C#m
But if I should lose your love, dear, I don't know what I'd do,
 D A F#m D E A D E
For I know I'll never find a - nother you---------!

[Coda]
     E7 A D E E7 A D A
A - nother you-------, a - nother you-------!
