Gimme Some Loving
Single released by The Spencer Davis Group in 1966 reached number 2 in UK.
Bass performance Muff Winwood. Tab by bass50611. Thought it was time to tab
a correct version as per the original. “Note the tuning”.
I have dropped the A string to the lower G which I think may have been done
in the studio for simplicity. Very easy song to play.

I mean, it's correct, but, well, with 95% of the song being one note played over one octave... I guess I just feel like it's quite silly to retune a string just so it can be played on one string rather than two when the octave is only two frets apart. I really doubt their bassist was so terrible that he had to do that for the recording (if i'm wrong, well damn!). I would suggest that if someone wants to play the song with one finger they can just play the high octave with the open G string and the low octave with the G on the the E string. The G string is very easily muted with either the palm or chosen finger when playing the low octave on the E string. With all that said, This is quite an interesting way to play the song. I'm not trying to be an ass, I just thought it was an odd way to go about it. :)
