MODERN GIRLS AND OLD FASHIONED MEN - The Strokes (ft. Regina Spektor)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tabbed by: Adjmalachite
Email: adjhoskins@hotmail.co.uk

Tuning: EADGBe (Standard)

I wasn't able to determine the rest of the guitar part, so I settled with the intro riff
the chords. Enjoy. There are, obviously, alternate places on the neck where the riff
be played, by I find this easiest because you can bar across the top two strings on the
fret and use your third and fourth fingers on the rest of the notes. I'm not
sure of the lyrics either.

You are?

G C
Modern girls always have to go (right on time)
                                                  G
Old-fashioned men always want a mistress(you were right)
                                         C
Modern girls always get their way (I was wrong)
                                         G
Modern men dream of what they can't say (???)
        C
That's alright (Right, right, right, right)
         G
I don't belong

Am
Why you gotta say it if you know it's something wrong?
D
Says that he'll apologize and it won't take too long
Am D
Well you don't wanna trust nobody else

G
(Time) There's a few things that are gonna have to change
          C
(I'm your son) Everyone has the same opinion
            G
(Won't you please?) Your time is almost over
           C
(Don't be mean) We won't get the chance to do this over
         G
That's alright (Right, right, right, right)
         C
I don't belong

Am
I don't want the imprint of your key upon my nose
D
You don't have to tell no one 'cause no one wants to know
Am
That you don't have no happiness at all

             C G
Oh yes we're falling down (Oh yes we're falling down) [x7]
            C G
So fucking help me up

Am D
Always thinking bout yourself (You don't love me)
Am D
Always thinking bout yourself (I am an animal)
Am D
