[Verse 2]

        My love
        Whenever I was insecure
You built me up and made me sure
You gave my pride back to me

        Precious friend
With you I'll always have a friend
You're someone who I can depend
To walk a path that sometimes bends

        Without you
Life has no meaning or rhyme
Like notes to a song out of time
        How can I repay
You for having faith in me

Coda [repeat partial chorus to fade]:

        Am7 D7 Cmaj7
        God bless you
        Am7 Bm7
You make me feel brand new
           Bm7/E Bm Am7 D7 Cmaj7
For God blessed me with you

        Am7 Bm7
You make me feel brand new
          Bm7/E Bm Am7 D7 Cmaj7

This is a very good chart. However, if one wants to preserve all harmonic colour of the original recording throughout, the Bm chord played at "only you" is actually a Bm7 chord --without the fifth( the f# note ) Three notes are being played in this chord. A, B and D and on guitar is played X-2-0-2-0-X. The juncture where this chord is played marks a slight; yet strategic different direction in this song, marking a point which warrants this consideration. Playing anything else makes quite a notable difference here. Another song where a similar chord is played ( Dm7-no 5) is throughout "Come Together" by the Beatles. And again, playing something different here changes the entire texture of the song rather significantly.
