                             ALRIGHT - The Subways
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tabbed by: James T Halsall
Email: james.t.halsall@googlemail.com

This is a great song and is featured on the new Subways album entitled All or Nothing.

The Subways play this song a half step down (watch them swap guitars when playing live)
the following chords.

    G Em7 B Em7(2) A
  D
d#|-3------3----7-----7-------5-----3-----2------------------------|
A#|-3------3----7-----8-------5-----3-----3------------------------|
F#|-0--- --0----8-----7-------6-----0-----2------------------------|
C#|-0------2----9-----9-------7-----2-----0------------------------|
G#|-2------2----9-----7-------7-----3-----x------------------------|
D#|-3------x----7-----7-------5-----x-----x------------------------|

NB. The chord change in the verse is a lot quicker
in the chorus so just listen to the song get the idea.

INTRO:

  Cadd9 Em7 G D (Repeat)

  VERSE 1
           Cadd9 Em7 G D
Make the Great escape (Ahhhhhh ahhhh)
      Cadd9 Em7 G D
And find a way to make ends meet
 Cadd9 Em7 G D
  Enemies (Ahhhhhh ahhhh)
      Cadd9 Em7 G D
Well I don't think they ever sleep

BRIDGE:

B Em7(2)
Make our way until we see the light
B Em7(2) A
Another day, another chance and it will be

CHORUS:
            G
    Allll...riiiiiiiiiiiiiight
   D Em7
    Allll...riiiiiiiiiiiiiight
   D G
    Allll...riiiiiiiiiiiiiight
   D Em7
    Allll...riiiiiiiiiiiiiight

FILL:

  Cadd9 Em7 G D (x2)

VERSE 2:

     Cadd9 Em7 G D
So what you say (Ahhhhhh ahhhh)
      Cadd9 Em7 G D
And what you do is who you are
      Cadd9 Em7 G D
You say its truth (Ahhhhhh ahhhh)
      Cadd9 Em7 G D
But still you lied right from the start

BRIDGE:

B Em7(2)
Make a change and find the reasons why
B Em7(2) A
Another day, another chance and it will be

CHORUS:
          G
  Allll...riiiiiiiiiiiiiight
 D Em7
  Allll...riiiiiiiiiiiiiight
 D G
  Allll...riiiiiiiiiiiiiight
 D Em7
  Allll...riiiiiiiiiiiiiight

INTERLUDE: (This how I play it, not 100% sure if this is correct)

 Cadd9 D
  And I wonder
Em7 D
  When we fall
Cadd9 D
  Who do we need?
Em7 D
  Who do we call?

CHORUS:
          G
  Allll...riiiiiiiiiiiiiight
 D Em7
  Allll...riiiiiiiiiiiiiight
 D G
  Allll...riiiiiiiiiiiiiight
 D Em7
  Allll...riiiiiiiiiiiiiight
 D G
  Allll...riiiiiiiiiiiiiight
 D Em7
  Allll...riiiiiiiiiiiiiight
 D G
  Allll...riiiiiiiiiiiiiight
 D Em7
  Allll...riiiiiiiiiiiiiight

Perfect mate. Watched them do this live acoustic at Kerrang! radio. It was just the B i couldn't see, but i've got it now. Cheers.
Also, it doesn't need to be half a step down, sounds fine normal tuning. Good work

yeah sounds fine normal like you said, but the actually play it half-step down, you wouldn't notice unless you played it next to a recording of it

it would sound fine normal tuning
half a step isnt much different
but the key word there is it sound fine... not perfect
its like playing a song that needs a capo without it

the subways play a lot of their songs half a step down
