Improvements and suggestions would be much appreciated, especially
in the last part of the song - the chorus/interlude; "I ask myself..."

No intro, capo on 0 or perhaps 1st fret

D Bm C G
Save me, Save me, Save me

D Bm C G
Save me, Save me, Save me.

    D Bm
The candles are lit, the curtains are drawn

        C G
There's still no sign of rain nor dawn

D Bm
Our lips touch. Our limbs entwine

         G G
But the ghosts that haunt me won't leave my mind.

D Bm C G
Save me, Save me, Save me

D Bm C G
Save me, Save me, from myself.

D Bm C G
One sin leads to another one

D Bm
Oh, the harder I try

      C G
I can never, never, never find peace in this life.

Em Em7 A A7
I ask myself where does lust come from

        D D7 Bm
Is it something to yield to or be overcome?

Em Em7
I ask myself

    A A7 D Bm D7 Em Em7 A7 D Bm
Why lo - ve can never touch my heart like fear does?

           Em Em7 A A7 D Bm
Why can't love ever touch my heart like fear does?

1) Use the transpose tool on the left to roll it down five steps (-5, so the first chord displayed on the first line is A)

2) Capo SECOND fret (even though it says -5, I know)

3) Where it says F#m instead play Bm in almost all places (except I think the second to last line, but I haven't gone over it in super deep detail)

Should work with the recording. The actual chords for the verse and chorus progression (without a capo) are B C#m A E
