G D G
                      B5 Bb5 G
I've been leaving messages on an answering machine
      Bm D A
In a house that's always empty, so I know nobody's listening.
               Bm D
I've been confessing my transgressions over tape hiss
           G D Em
And the silence makes me sick.
             G
No good can come from this.

D F#m G G X2

            D
I'm letting go.
I've been holding on like poison ivy
          G
Out of cold suburban concrete
From this careless urban sprawl.
             D
I'm letting go.
You know we can't keep out of trouble.
             G
I thought my kids would call you uncle.
I thought we'd never be alone.

            B5 Bb5 G
I've got images of you inside my head
    D
Outside of the gas station where we always used to shoplift.
                   Bm D
It's car-crash rhetoric.
              G D Em
We fucked up everything we came in contact with.

Just boyhood recklessness.

If you walked me home, you'd know how weak my arms got.
Em (I usually don't play this Em)
I just can't carry you.

If you walked me home, I know I'd have flashbacks

Of snow angels and gut laughs.
Bm F#m G
If you walked me home... but you won't.
                Bm A Em
You're all alone on some bullshit, pill-bottle vision quest.

Work up the backbone to walk alone.

OUTRO
there are two versions of the outro.
If you decide to play I Just Want To Sell Out My Funeral after, play outro 1.
If you don't, or want to end it sounding more complete, play outro 2

If you walked me home...
OUTRO 2
D A G
If you walked me home...

You're on the right track, but this is pretty off. First, the key is wrong. It's in Eb standard, so if you're in standard tuning, this would be the correct key, but you indicated to tune down a half step. In that case, you could capo 2, or transpose up two half-steps and play it in E (which is what I assume TWY do).

Additionally, some of the chords/chord changes sound very off to me. All the B's should be Bm, or at least B5. The Bb shoild be Bb/B (x143xx), although Bb5 will work, just sounds a little off. You missed quite a few chord changes as well, especially in the verses.

Good effort for your first tab, however, and I'll try and take a crack at this one building upon yours soon. Keep at it!
