Please IGNORE ANY POP-UP CHORD BOXES the website
might automatically suggest and use the typed
shapes shown below:

Em *  = xx2000    E/B  = x22100    A4 = x02230
Em7/D = xx0000    A    = x02220    Em = 022000
C     = x32010    B4/A = x04450    F  = 133211
Am    = x02210    B/A  = x04442    G4 = 320013
B7    = x21202    Dm/A = x00231    G  = 320003

In the Choruses, at the end of the second lines,
after the A4 you could play this riff instead of
going to the A chord...

[Verse 1]
Em *            Em7/D
She told me she loved me,
       C                Am     B7
With words as soft as morning rain,
         Em *              Em7/D
But the light that fell u - pon me,
            C            E/B
Turned to shadow when he came!

[Chorus]
  A              B4/A  B/A
Maybe after he's gone------,
            Dm/A               A4    A
She'll come back, love me a - gain------,
  A              B4/A  B/A
Maybe after he's gone-------,
            Dm/A               A4    A
She'll come back, want me a - gain------!

[Verse 2]
Em *       Em7/D
 I remember joy and pain,
     C                     Am     B7
Her smile, her tears, are part of me,
   Em              Em7/D
I feel I'll never breathe again,
   C                    E/B
I feel life's gone from me!

[Chorus]
  A              B4/A  B/A
Maybe after he's gone------,
            Dm/A               A4    A
She'll come back, love me a - gain------,

She'll come back, want me a - gain------!

[Bridge]
Dm                Em
All the days, and all the nights,
     F                G4    G
Are time just passing by--------,
    Dm                    Em
And all the dreams I'm dreaming now,
 F                    G4    G
Hide the tears that I cry-------!

As the night folds in a - round me,
               C               E/B
Night sur - rounds me, I'm a - lone!

Maybe after he's gone------,

She'll come back, love me a - gain------,

I love this song, I've been listening to the album all the time, in the morning waiting for the bus stop, all I would listen to was the first two (and only original 60's albums I believe) of The Zombies. I would light up at the bus stop then hear this on my mp3 great album
