Standard Tuning

[Intro]
Em C D
Em C D

[Verse 1]
Em C D
Make a hole with a gun perpendicular
Em C D
To the name of this town in a desktop globe
E Am G C G
Exit wound in a foreign nation
D C D
Showing the home of the one this was written for
Em C D
My apartment looks upside down from there
Em C D
Water spirals the wrong way out the sink
E Am G C G
And her voice is a backwards record
D C D
It's like a whirlpool and it never ends

[Chorus]
G C D C
Ana Ng and I are getting old and we still haven't walked
G Bb C D
In the glow of each other's majestic presence
G C D C
Listen Ana hear my words, they're the ones you would think
G Bb C D
I would say if there was a me for you

[Verse 2]
Em C D
All alone at the '64 World's Fair
Em C D
Eighty dolls yelling "Small girl after all"
E Am G C G
Who was at the Dupont Pavilion?
D C D
Why was the bench still warm? Who had been there?
Em C D
Or the time when the storm tangled up the wire
Em C D
To the horn on the pole at the bus depot
E Am G C G
And in the back of the edge of hearing
D C D
These are the words that the voice was repeating:

[Chorus]
G C D C
Ana Ng and I are getting old and we still haven't walked
G Bb C D
In the glow of each other's majestic presence
G C D C
Listen Ana hear my words, they're the ones you would think
G Bb C D
I would say if there was a me for you

[Bridge]
C D G D C
When I was driving once I saw this painted on a bridge:
C D G D C
"I don't want the world, I just want your half"

[Verse]
Em C D
They don't need me here, and I know you're there
Em C D
Where the world goes by like the humid air
E Am G C G
And it sticks like a broken record
D Am G C G
Everything sticks like a broken record
D Am G C G
Everything sticks until it goes away
D C D
And the truth is, we don't know anything

[Chorus] (x2)
G C D C
Ana Ng and I are getting old and we still haven't walked
G Bb C D
In the glow of each other's majestic presence
G C D C
Listen Ana hear my words, they're the ones you would think
G Bb C D
I would say if there was a me for you
Bb C

[Outro]
Bb C

That whole Am G C G line could be interpreted as Am G/B C G instead so that the bass note of the first three chords is walking up. Just a suggestion/interpretation. That's atleast how I'll probably play it =)

This is great. Not easy to play and sing at the same time like the song, but clearly workable for one to cover solo. Thanks!
